This newly updated one bedroom rental is the perfect couples only urban retreat. A very minor inconvenience.Located in the heart of downtown Logan, the NEW nest is the ideal location for an urban getaway with the benefits of the scenic Hocking Hills within a 10-20 minute drive. Since my friend and I were going separate ways with our kiddos at OU, we had juggle our schedules to make sure we arrived back at the B&B at about the same time. The only reason I didn't make this a 5 star rating was that we were only allotted one set of keys for the house/room. Our host Angel cooked a delicious breakfast each morning (fresh oatmeal, bacon, coffee cake, fruit, etc.) and was so pleasant. There is off-street parking in the lot behind the house, or on-street parking. The shower/sink had instant hot water, which was DIVINE. The house was spotless and beautifully furnished with antiques, and our room (the Lane room at the top of the stairs) was spacious and comfortable, with an attached full bathroom. Because all of the hotels around Athens were sold out, I ventured into my first ever B&B experience and boy, was I skeptical. The Star of Hocking Hills has so much to offer itself. Must see Hocking Hills attractions include Ash Cave, Cantwell Cliffs, Cedar Falls, Conkle’s Hollow, Old Man’s Cave, Rockbridge, and Rock House. Visit Athens to check on your beloved Bobcat at Ohio University, swim at Stroud’s Run State Park, or enjoy a local restaurant.Īll of our cabins and lodges are 30 minutes from the Hocking Hills State Parks which are beautiful all year round. We are centrally located to all the outdoor activities, attractions, and fun located within Athens, Logan, and Nelsonville.
